Digital Accessibility Statement
Public Body / Scope
Stiftung Berliner Leben, Non-profit Foundation under Civil Law
We strive to make our website and mobile application accessible. The Digital Accessibility Statement is required by the Berlin Accessible Information and Communication Technology Act (BIKTG Bln). The technical requirements for accessibility are derived from BITV 2.0.
This digital accessibility statement applies to the website
https://mediaguide.urban-nation.com/
Creation of this accessibility statement
This statement was created and revised on February 10, 2025.
The statements in this declaration were last reviewed on February 10, 2025.
The digital accessibility review was carried out as a self-assessment.
How accessible is the website?
This website is partially accessible. Only some of the requirements of BITV 2.0 are met.
Which areas are not accessible?
The areas listed below are not accessible or only partially accessible for the following reasons:
Barrier: Inappropriate focusing when exiting the audio tour overlay using key navigation
Description: In accordance with the structural order of the elements in the main area, when exiting the open audio tour overlay using key navigation, the first focusable element in the main area is focused. Since using the audio tour overlay usually results in automatic adjustment of the scroll position of the main area, the first focusable element of the main area is often not visible at the time of navigation and is probably not the desired target of key navigation from the user's point of view.
Measures: It seems more effective to always focus on the first visible and focusable element of the main area at the time of navigation when leaving the open audio tour overlay using key navigation.
---
Barrier: Missing jump marks
Description: Elements that are irrelevant to the user cannot yet be skipped/omitted.
Measures: Invisible jump marks optimized for use with screen readers are inserted, especially on longer subpages. In addition, the audio tour overlay should have its own jump mark.
---
Barrier: Semantics
Description: Extensive use of aria states and properties would further increase accessibility.
Measures: The page structure and content will be reviewed for further opportunities to use aria states and attributes, and the use of these techniques will be expanded.
---
Schedule: The goal is to fix this by the end of 2025.
