I will build you up while they put you down
MilloItalian street artist Millo was born in Pescara in 1979. His large-scale murals and canvas works feature friendly-looking figures who explore their urban surroundings. By using distinct black and white lines with sparse accents of color and numerous fine details, Millo’s narrative paintings open up a world unique to itself and express existential emotions ranging from love and hope to loneliness and fear. Whether the protagonists are individuals or couples, they appear to exist in a labyrinth of imaginary cityscapes and in a state of introspection, seemingly stopping the hectic flow of time.
The work by Millo shown here was created in 2017 on a wooden panel in the URBAN NATION before the museum was officially opened.
